I also have a nintendo with over 100 games that fits in ma pocket, but sadly, no vcr
TheSanityInspector - November 26, 2012, 8:40 pm
Ermm...if the product has no quality, usually it will turn no profit. As for patents and copyright, no one will build the next cool thing if they are robbed of their rewards for it.
Rick69 - November 26, 2012, 5:29 pm
So... Am I the only one who does not have a pocket VCR Player at hand...?
CloudchaserS - November 26, 2012, 11:30 am
Ack, prophet = profit. I plead tired :-P
CloudchaserS - November 26, 2012, 11:24 am
Doing away with patents and copyrights would shrink them even more. Companies would be forced to compete on quality of product instead of just prophet

Just finished getting a THIRD new harddrive in my 6 month old HP laptop...does ANYONE make a good PC ?
thecrotchetyoldcynic - November 3, 2012, 7:15 pm
Coincidence or CONSPIRACY? :D
thecrotchetyoldcynic - November 3, 2012, 7:14 pm
That's right. Who would've thought that Darwin's theory of evolution applied to inanimate objects? I'm completely bamboozled.
rerun - November 3, 2012, 6:33 pm

I remember when Dell was a great product, especially when they were built to order. Guess one must compete to survive
thecrotchetyoldcynic - November 3, 2012, 2:23 am
Every once in a while, with some products, someone gets a lemon. I suppose every once in a while someone finds a perfectly good Dell.
falloutghoul - November 2, 2012, 9:52 pm
My Dell has been working good for 2 years now, and hasn't failed me once.
caveman - November 2, 2012, 8:27 pm
But......i have a dell. (Coincidence that it's currently being repaired)

I have 4 year old Toshiba that the power cord was severed. I may revive it instead.

I Was Going To Buy One Last Year Until I Seen My G F IPod It Does Everything.
thecrotchetyoldcynic - November 2, 2012, 2:40 am
I had my Dell for a year, and the motherboard had malfunctioned a day after the manufacturer warrantee expired, and a month after my GeekSquad Black Tie thingy expired. Coincidence? I think not. Sorry about your Dell, too.
rerun - November 1, 2012, 8:02 pm

Looks like the same pile of junk I have. I will never buy another Dell.

I'm thinking mostly just see the symptoms, complain and developers work to find the root and fix it.
falloutghoul - May 6, 2013, 6:14 pm
Maybe, but will the customer actually know the root of the problem, or only witness the symptoms of the problem?
CloudchaserS - May 6, 2013, 11:35 am
Because it's cheaper to release a product, let the customers find the problems, listen to their complaints than to pay developers to find all the bugs before the product is released.
thecrotchetyoldcynic - May 6, 2013, 10:46 am
Dude, I should have entitled it, "Epic Fail," lol. Oh, well. Next time :-D
falloutghoul - May 6, 2013, 8:56 am
That's what they do when they release a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th version of the 1st.

You are correct, although it takes quite the pile to get enough to make it worth your while. However, the extraction process is toxic and illegal in most states, so they get shipped to China and such.
